The Sonifex AVN-DIO03 is a compact audio interface that converts Dante Audio-over-IP (AoIP) network streams into stereo headphone outputs. It provides both 1/4-inch and 3.5mm headphone jacks, allowing users to monitor Dante audio channels directly. A front-panel volume control adjusts the headphone level from mute to a maximum gain of +6dB, accommodating various listening preferences. To protect hearing, the device includes a limiter with an adjustable threshold ranging from approximately -12dBu to 0dBu, which can be set using a trimmer tool. An LED indicator illuminates when the limiter is active, prompting users to reduce the volume to maintain audio quality. The AVN-DIO03 features high-quality digital-to-analog conversion with a dynamic range of 120dB, ensuring clear and detailed audio reproduction. It connects to the Dante network via a Neutrik EtherCon connector and is powered through Power over Ethernet (PoE), simplifying installation by eliminating the need for separate power supplies.
