D-MON 4 upgrade to Atmos capability
The D-MON Upgrade program is intended to meet two purposes:
Make any D-MON sold in the past capable of driving a 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos system.Bringing any D-MON up to current specifications with the ability to increase the number of Optimization channels further, up to 18 channels for larger configurations.
Besides upgrading some hardware components, a new front cover will be added; Its design is identical with the new D-MON faceplate, rack ears excluded.
Requires minimum hardware modifications
The upgrade kit includes:
- One Analog I/O board
- Upgraded Digital I/O board
- New front cover for old chassis
- 8 additional optimization channels
Note that the hardware upgrade should be performed by Studio Economik
