I have bought a number of Triad-Orbit components, and will consolidate my opinion in this review. The pieces I bought were the T3 stand, the Orbit 2X, the IO-Vector, M2 and M2R and finally 2 RA6 kits.
For years, I have put up with the typical K&M stands.

For me, reliability is critical. Little did I know how much value I would place on flexibility. The Triad-Orbit gear is infinitely flexible. One stand with a few accessories can replace 3 traditional stands, and do a much better job. The Orbit 2X is an unbelievably awesome piece of kit.
My last purchase was two RA6 kits, which will enable me to convert all my stands to quick connects. I realized on my last gig how much time I could save by popping in and out all my microphones.
The Triad-Orbit and Latch Lake stands are not cheap. But when you consider how much stands are used and how much you rely on them, it is worth looking at superior tools to do the job. Even pulling the trigger on one great stand, you will appreciate the difference it will make e.g. the Triad-Orbit T2 or T3. You don't need to replace all your stands. Just one or two critical ones.
