IO Retrofit Quick-Change Coupler

iO-RA (Retrofit) couplers are designed to add iO quick-change innovation to your existing stands. With iO-RA, "on the fly" hardware swaps are now a reality, replacing the tedious task of threading booms, gear, and other devices on and off.

The exclusive "Cam Lock" secures iO-RA couplers to stands without damaging mounting threads. Thread the iO-RA coupler onto any stand equipped with 3/8-16 or 5/8-27 threads until tight. Then lock the iO-RA in place by tightening the 3mm hex screw with the included hex wrench. Every iO-RA is loaded with an iO-H2 hex mounting head. 3/8-16 male and female adapters included.

iO-RA retrofit couplers are 50% lighter than the original iO-R"a major consideration for studio and live sound production applications. Every iO-R is loaded with an iO-H2 hex mounting head.

Works as advertised!

I bought one Triad-Orbit mic stand with boom last year for my project studio to solve a problem with heavy mics on the boom and it worked! No more "sagging" booms when I use a heavy microphone.
