Unique transient shaper combined with a modern flexible VCA compressor
The Magnetimus 2 was developed for the processing of drums and other transient rich signals such as acoustic guitars. It combines a modern flexible VCA compressor with a downstream Transient Shaper. The result is a fat sound, which is similar to a tape recording, but integrates better into the mix due to the highly developed analog circuitry.
Magnetismus 2 can also be used as a creative sound design tool when a 'targeted destruction' is desired for your audio signals.
Because the compressor can be used separately the Magnetismus 2 is also well suited to mix individual signals or to be used as a bus compressor.

Secret Weapon!
Magnetismus 2 has instantly become my favourite analogue rack! It's an SSL style compressor, saturator and transient shaper all in one. Most online demos don't explore it's capabilities wide enough... I use it as a Master Bus compressor, on individual tracks for compression and transient "rounding" like tape compression. Lire plus
It has colour too, so you can turn the compression off and the transient intensity all the way down and it still adds a bit of magic! I bounced some mixes onto analogue tape, Magnetismus and various "tape emulation plugins". No contest! I've never been convinced by tape plugins so this is the magic box I've been looking for!
