Magnetismus 2 has instantly become my favourite analogue rack! It's an SSL style compressor, saturator and transient shaper all in one. Most online demos don't explore it's capabilities wide enough... I use it as a Master Bus compressor, on individual tracks for compression and transient "rounding" like tape compression.
Read more It has colour too, so you can turn the compression off and the transient intensity all the way down and it still adds a bit of magic! I bounced some mixes onto analogue tape, Magnetismus and various "tape emulation plugins". No contest! I've never been convinced by tape plugins so this is the magic box I've been looking for!
