These are basically the same as the G3's so there shouldn't be too much of a re-learning curve. Battery life is great (even-though the low batt light seems to always be on for some reason). The MKE 2 Gold mic to me is certainly worth the extra cost, no doubt about it.
Read moreIt's compact, easy to hide and sounds leagues better than the regular MKE lavs. The only thing (and I'm not sure if this is a Sennheiser thing) but I do find some interference once in a while with these. Seeing that I'm in Vancouver, I have a feeling that the 500 Mhz range is quite busy with other productions... If you don't mind re-buying in a year or so, go with the 600 Mhz and above for the time being as I have a set in this range and never have any problems. Very slick set.
