Theata is truly a unique professional audio product designed for the studio, live & broadcast markets.
At the heart of the product is an world class instrument pre amplifier with eight ultra high impedance active Class A discrete instrument pre amps designed for guitars, keyboards, basses and just about every instrument you can throw at it, you can even input a balanced line level signal making it incredibly flexible.
Each channel has its own dedicated 15db pad, phase reverse and ground lift.
With 30db of gain you have the ability to color, overdrive and saturate your instrument with luscious analogue tone through our famous Class A discrete circuitry and our custom wound transformers, in fact there are 10 transformers in the unit so you can really feel that analogue tone throughout this unit.
Also with so much gain you can even use your favorite tube microphone or with a booster unit a condenser or dynamic mic which is pretty crazy.
The Theata has 24 inputs, these are eight TRS inputs on the front, 8 channel D-sub inputs on the rear and eight TRS through inputs also on the front, these can be used to present another input source or for real creativity mix another signal with the input & through to create a new mixed sound which can have really exciting results.
On the rear the Theata has 20 outputs, these come in the form of 16 direct D-sub outputs with two dedicated to each channel, then two XLR mix master outputs and two master monitor outs.
The Theata also has a master insert send and return so you can insert your favorite outboard compressor or EQ and linking function so two channels can be merged into a 16 channel unit.
But the really exciting part of the Theata is its routing matrix each channel has its own left and right switching options, these can be used to route any and all of the eight channels to a master bus so that you can sum to the two channel mixing board that is part of the Theata. You can even send a mono signal to a stereo bus which can create some exciting options.
Again like all Phoenix Audio products, the mixing part of the Theata is a Class A active high gain voltage earth solution.
Finally there is a stereo width effect which can create some really cool widening or mono effects for maxing for mix sound even better.
