In my home studio, I can mix on the Neumann's and the mix translates to my Event Opal speakers very well. So that's really useful and the mixes translate well to other lesser "targets" like Bose consumer headphones, too.
The frequency response is not hyped in bass or treble.
Read moreInitially, they sound a bit bass-mid heavy but you get used to that and it seems to be a better, less fatiguing, more accurate response. The transient response is great and I love using them to monitor when tracking drums because they sound good and have good isolation.
Very comfortable and they feel like a quality product. I'm very pleased I bought them. For years, I used Ultrasone headphones, of equivalent price, I liked them but I found mixing on them didn't translate very well.
Minor complaints: The headphone cable is a bit stiff and translates rubbing noise into the right ear. It would be nice if they included a replacement set of ear pads as eventually, the originals will get dirty.
However, all in all, a very nice product.
