Wide cardioid capsule head, capsule woodbox, nickel. Compatible with KM A (analog) or KM D (digital) output stages. Black finish
The KK 143 is a pressure gradient transducer with wide-angle cardioid characteristic. Attenuation: 4 dB at 90, 8 dB at 135, and 11 dB at 180. The frequency response for sound sources within an angle of ± 90 (off axis) is parallel up to 12 kHz.

Great initial impressions.
I am using the KM-A/KK143 combo for recording production dialog on set. It's specifically for the boom mic in quieter locations when there are two or more people speaking in fairly close proximity. This capsule is very helpful in unscripted productions. Lire plus
I don't have to worry as much about swinging the boom to each speaker and I can often park it more in the middle of a group. The other big benefit is that the wide cardioid reduces how much room reverb is captured. In fast moving productions there often isn't time to set up baffles or sound blankets. So in small, hard surface rooms this capsule is very helpful. So far I've only listened on my headphones and I've noticed how the capsule sounds extraordinarily smooth with no sibilance typically associated with more directional mics. I will also be buying the KK184 which may see more use on set as it has a desirable HF boost for dialog.
