The Midas AS88 is a powerful, rackmountable interface designed to convert dual high-speed HyperMAC connections into eight fully redundant AES50 ports, and vice versa, while supporting up to 192 bidirectional channels at 96 kHz. Engineered for ultra-fast switching and system stability, it is the ideal backbone for large-scale live sound and broadcast setups.
Designed to complement the Midas HD96 console, the AS88 enables full redundancy across both Snake ports, enhancing both system capacity and reliability. It leverages advanced FPGA-based technology for real-time failover, ensuring uninterrupted audio in the event of cable or connection loss.
Connectivity includes dual copper and optical HyperMAC inputs, 16 RJ45 AES50 outputs, and an Ethernet port for network integration. The Microprocessor-controlled redundancy management communicates with the console to indicate cable states, giving engineers full transparency and control.
Built into a rugged 2U chassis, the AS88 features dual universal power supplies with independent inlets, a factory reset button, LED status indicators for every critical function, and robust RJ45 and optical connectors.
