Combine power with precision to meet the most demanding requirements, all with Genelec's renowned accuracy and reliability.
As strikingly stylish as it is sonically impressive, the 8030C features the rounded edges and colour-free, accurate reproduction of the rigid all-aluminium Minimum Diffraction Enclosure (MDE). Every element of the design is crafted to perfect your listening experience. Precise on- and off-axis frequency reproduction is courtesy of the Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW). Broad low-frequencies and high SPLs are delivered with a flow-optimised internal curved reflex tube and a maximised internal volume. And when you're finished, Genelec Intelligent Signal Sensing (ISS) circuitry detects when your system is no longer in use, placing it into an environmentally friendly, power-saving standby mode.
From professional studios to outside broadcast vehicles, the 8030C has been crafted to combine extraordinary power with absolute precision.

Quality near field monitors
Very clear and detailed, very good transient response. They sound good for listening as well and are not tiresome for the ears.

Simply flat and detailed - More bass than expected
A great monitor with a VERY flat frequency response and a detailed bass for its size. You can really hear the difference between a great mastered songs vs other. This is my first Genelec - It took me awhile to get used to the metal dome tweeter - some songs are recorded too bright and you will hear it. Read more
Open these monitors up for a few days by playing different music genres at different volume to get them ready.

Great - but I don't know - had some issues
Top sturdy quality with an all-around aluminum casing.
I found the tweeter high frequency to be a little metallic sounding. (Clang, crashes etc. to snappy, bright)
There was a disconnect between the low vs high frequencies .

frequencies even after rolling off the high dip switch.
Hard to explain - a great monitor - great low end but not defined enough - missing a little mid freq - and the high end being to bright.

Accurate, stylish, and affordable
These are great monitors. I work full time in the sound department on film sets and bought these for post production in my home studio. The speakers present a very natural sounding reproduction of the material we record on set. I find genelecs sound extremely pleasing and satisfying in their frequency response across the spectrum. Some settings allow for tailored bass and treble response to match your room acoustics which helps a fair bit, and they look great which is a bonus. I wish I could have waited for the white ones but the grey is perfectly fine. The sales experience was effortless and shipping was as quick as could be expected. These aren't cheap per se but resale prices means if you do sell them some day you'll recoup a lot of value versus other cheaper options.
