Their tonal balance and precision in terms of audio spectrum make them perfect to evaluate the sound work quality. In addition, their comfort and accessories will make them very attractive for people travelling on business trips. The sound quality and the dynamics of these headphones are very surprising considering that this quality is usually found on more expensive items. The attention to detail of these headphones can be also shown thanks to the various patents and technologies which belong to Focal. Hence, a brand new driver membrane was developed. The main goal was to propose a solution which would keep all the dynamics from the original track while reproducing accurately every single detail on the whole audio spectrum. Even if Listen Professional headphones are closed, they produce a very lively sound, giving the feeling of semi-open headphones while still providing the isolation of closed headphones.

Isolation Ear cushions : the ideal acoustics
The size of the ear cushions (height, width and depth) gives them a volume which makes it possible to achieve a great tonal balance. Microfiber provides a more linear bass response providing a better acoustic output, whereas the acoustic tissue, which is closer to the speaker driver, offers great absorption and linearity in the 3-9kHz register. The bass and lower mid-range sections benefit from remarkable tonal balance and excellent articulation: where compression and frequency response generally suffer on closed-back headphones.
Comfort For a frequent and intensive use
Listen Professional is also equipped with a headband boasting a unique design to ensure comfort and durability. Its curve remains consistent, regardless of the shape or size of the user's head. Combined with the layer of silicone underneath the headband, this ensures that the weight is spread out evenly over the head, preventing the user from feeling any pressure in certain areas, which can be very uncomfortable during long working sessions. The horizontal and vertical rotation of the ear cups operate thanks to one single part: a joint integrated into each one. The ear cups also feature a black structured covering, making them resistant to impacts and scratching.

Rigid carrying case. Thermoformed shell in the shape of the headphones. Can store one cable and an iLok key (not provided), all within its compact dimensions. Two OFC copper 24AWG cables with a very low resistance.

Simplement fantastique
La qualité de reproduction sur la totalité de la plage de fréquence est incroyable, surtout pour un casque dans cette fourchette de prix. Du simple point de vue de la qualité audio, j'aurais été prêt à payer davantage pour ce casque. Mon casque précédent étant le Shure SRH440, je remarque une énorme différence de son. Lire plus
Au niveau de la qualité de fabrication, très solide même si entièrement en plastique. Le comfort est top et j'adore le repose-tête recouvert de silicone, contrairement à la cuirette de mes Shure. La pochette de transport rigide avec compartiments à cable est très bien faite et loge parfaitement mon DAC FiiO BTR5 dans l'emplacement iLok.
Mon setup d'écoute est le suivant: iPhone 11 Pro (Apple Music lossless/hi-res) --> FiiO BTR5 USB DAC --> Focal Listen Pro.
C'est la première fois que je possède de l'équipement Focal. Malgré le fait que c'est loin d'être le top de chez Focal, je suis extrêmement satisfait de mon achat et je crois que je suis vendu Focal à l'avenir.
En terminant, le service de l'équipe de Studio Economik a été A1 et la livraison a été faite en 1 journée. Je vais faire affaire de nouveau avec vous dans le futur, c'est certain! Merci!

Good product, just not for me.
These feel like a nice, high-quality product. The case is nice, the headband feels solid, the foam cups and cables are all high quality. Unfortunately for me, I found these to be too uncomfortable to use. They push on my upper jaw in a way that is very bothersome for me. Lire plus
I'm sensitive to pressure on my head, as a glasses wearer with a larger sized head, and these just don't work for me. I know others who own these cans and find them to be relatively comfortable, so ymmv. I also own Sennheiser HD 600's which have a similar type of over-ear fit, but I find those infinitely more comfortable than the Focals. I also prefer the sound of those, however of course close-back headphones will sound different than open-back, anyway. I was disappointed with the Focals because I really wanted to like them - I love Focal monitors - but these just don't work for me, and since there are no returns on headphones, I'll have to sell or trade them.
