The d:dicate 2011C Twin Diaphragm Cardioid Microphone, Compact is acclaimed for its close-miking excellence and hi-SPL handling.
The off-axis response is linear but in a smaller frequency bandwidth. This makes stage separation and gain-to-feedback higher. The mic level is easier to control.
The microphone capsule
Inside this capsule, two opposite-facing miniature capsules are custom rebuilt. They are placed into a double-diaphragm, one-capsule composition. This combines the advantages of small capsules with the lower inherent noise achieved from a larger diaphragm area. These capsules provide fast impulse response and large frequency bandwidth.
The capsules are loaded to the supreme d:dicate? Microphone series preamplifiers instead of the tiny miniature FET ones. This gives the sound more air and precision.
Comparisons with its big brother, the iconic MMC4011 capsule, are inevitable. The relationship between the two can be clearly heard. The MMC2000 series performs as well as more exclusive microphones. It is a premium-class mic capsule and redefines the term value for money.

A truly flexible range
The d:dicate? 2011C Twin Diaphragm Cardioid Microphone, Compact is part of the flexible d:dicate? Microphones Series. It combines the MMC2011 Twin Diaphragm Cardioid Capsule with the MMP-C compact preamplifier. This combination offers a subtle character alteration with a bit more "body" to the low end than the d:dicate? 2011A Twin Diaphragm Cardioid Microphone. It is also much easier to position than other cardioid mics.
Another option, for the true audiophile, is the d:dicate? 4011A Twin Diaphragm Cardioid Microphone. It offers low distortion and totally accurate and faithful sound.
At any time, and with no tools needed, it is possible to transform the d:dicate? 2011C Twin Diaphragm Cardioid Microphone, Compact into a new configuration. You can combine it with another d:dicate? or d:facto? Microphone Capsule or Preamplifier.
