ATC Loudspeakers SCM7 (pair)
Two way passive Hi-Fi speakers with 125mm mid/low frequency driver and 25mm soft dome high frequency unit
The SCM7, the third generation model (mark III) has been substatially redesigned. Featuring ATC's latest SH25-76 25mm soft dome tweeter which uses a dual suspension system that suppresses rocking modes, to eliminate the need for ferrofluids for cooling ATC has added a short edge-wound voice coil in a long narrow magnetic gap. The magnet system and expertly weighted fabric cone are essential to the driver's excellent performance, which is designed for creating a speaker with unrivaled horizontal dispersion, stereo imaging, and extended bass response.

ATC7s Big mixing gains in a small box.
With a sub in circuit(but almost shut off) the frequency response is solid ground for recording and mixing. I needed near fields for detail given my old ears. These speakers work so well, both at elevated levels and at low level. At last some terra-firma I can rely on without having to compare to headphones or other speakers. Read more
They are a reliable marker and give you detail in lower mids lacking on so many speakers. I'm a happy camper.
