The SMC45A Pro, ATC's mid-sized three-way active loudspeaker in the SCM range, can be placed in both near- or mid-field positions. It shares many features with the SMC25A Pro, and completes ATC's professional active monitoring loudspeaker range. Producing an excelent linear response across the midrange, the 45A's design includes a second woofer for an extended bass response and increased SPL (Sound Pressure Level) capability, The proprietary dual-suspension tweeter that creates the high top-end resolution is the result of six years of research and development by ATC Managing Director Billy Woodman and R&D Engineer Richard Newman.
