EXPANDED MIDRANGE PRECISION " DRY BASS SOUND
With its specially designed midrange driver, the compact KH 310 is particularly suited for precise work with speech, vocals, guitars and other instruments that have a midrange emphasis. Its closed design enables a very fast transient response. The associated low harmonic distortion guarantees a neutral reference sound to meet the highest standards.
The KH 310 three-way active tri-amplified monitor features a Mathematically Modeled Dispersion Waveguide (MMD), flexible acoustical controls, various input options and an extensive range of mounting hardware. This allows the loudspeaker to be used in diverse acoustical conditions, with any source equipment and in a wide variety of physical locations. The KH 310 represents the latest in acoustic and electronic simulation and measurement technologies to ensure the most accurate sound reproduction possible.
It can be used in project, music, broadcast centers, OB vans, and post production studios for tracking, mixing, and mastering.

Best value around
These make up the LCR in our new 7.1 control room, with the KH810 sub and KH120s in the satellites. This system lacks for nothing in our room and points out every flaw in the mix. Decisions are made faster, and with less doubt than I'm used to! I have outfitted two rooms with these, despite having a budget for more expensive monitors, and have ZERO regrets.
Read moreThey just perform and never feel choked. They're also a nice compliment to our B+W 802s in that they're even more revealing, not as flattering, but equally fun to listen on; a tribute to the KH line if a monitor can hang with such a speaker!

Fantastic
Wonderful monitors. Firstly, the "sweet spot" with these is very forgiving. Neumann calls the low-end "dry". At first, that seemed like a throwaway word but upon listening, I would say that I'd call it tight. No smear, no boom. Mid-range is clear and honest.
Read morePlaying older mixes on these revealed where I'd missed the mark, especially in the lower mids. High end is not strident at all. Any changes to EQ are easily apparent and setting up compression has gone from being a chore to a breeze. Any change makes itself known saving me from myself. The room adjustments on the back were really helpful in placing them in my own space. Really happy with these. Also, Mario at Economik was so incredibly helpful which made taking the leap easy.

Exactly the Right Monitor
I've been using the little brother of the KH310a for almost a decade. That's the KH120a, little 5"/2-way monitor. I've been very happy with frequency balance, stereo separation, depth of field, etc... Last summer I moved into a new space that was a smaller studio, but the control room was much larger in volume.
Read more After about 6 months in the new room I'd come to the conclusion that the KH120 monitors didn't have the oomf needed for the new room, despite the fact that I was happier than ever with them and my own work in the new space. After some research, the KH310 monitor turned out to be the perfect combination of price, feature and need fulfillment for my room, so I took a chance on them...
I couldn't be happier. Some of the significant issues I was dealing with in the room disappeared. Instantly. The depth I could hear in a mix suddenly extended into a 3D world I didn't know was possible. And of course the depth of the low end was awesome! Sure, it has the potential to be bigger than the KH120, but only if I want to push it. Specifically, the low end is deep and responsive. The low end in my masters and mixes is SO much easier to shape and control and punch.
Translation just took on a whole new meaning. :) I couldn't be happier.
