Based on a classic feed-forward VCA design, it utilizes the THAT 2180 VCA chip to deliver outstanding analog performance. The compressor features a program-dependent attack time, which adapts to the input signal for optimal response, and a continuously variable release time ranging from fast to slow. This flexibility allows the Comp module to function as a transparent leveler for vocals and guitars or as a character compressor imparting distinctive coloration to drums and bass. An input overload LED provides visual indication of signal clipping, ensuring precise control during operation. Designed to integrate seamlessly into any 500 Series format chassis, the Harrison Audio Comp brings the company's signature dynamics processing to both studio and live sound environments.
