Description

The dbx 234xs is a precision-engineered active crossover designed to maximize the performance of your loudspeakers and amplifiers. With 24 dB/octave Linkwitz-Riley filters, high-quality XLR balanced inputs and outputs, and advanced signal routing features, the 234xs provides professional-grade frequency management for portable PA systems, touring rigs, and installations.

Supporting stereo 2-way, stereo 3-way, and mono 4-way operation, the 234xs offers flexibility and control in a compact 1U rackmount form. It includes independent level controls and phase inversion switches for each output, a 40 Hz low-cut filter, and the option to sum low frequencies for subwoofer output, helping you tailor the system to your exact requirements while maintaining clean, undistorted sound.

Features

Flexible Configuration: Operates as a stereo 2-way, stereo 3-way, or mono 4-way crossover - ideal for versatile system setups.

Professional Filter Design: Uses Linkwitz-Riley 24 dB/octave filters for smooth and precise frequency separation.

Subwoofer Output Option: Mono-summed low-frequency output supports powerful and controlled sub bass integration.

Built-In Low Cut Filter: Switchable 40 Hz high-pass filter helps reduce unwanted low-end rumble.

XLR Balanced Inputs and Outputs: Ensures professional-grade signal integrity and noise rejection in any environment.

Independent Output Level and Phase Controls: Customize each output with individual gain settings and phase reverse switches.

x10 Frequency Range Switch: Multiplies crossover frequency ranges for mid-high or high-frequency driver applications.

Status LEDs for Clear Operation: Visual indicators show stereo/mono mode, low cut, x10 setting, and phase inversion per output.

Ultra Low Noise and High Performance: Offers >106 dB dynamic range, low THD (<0.004%), and wide frequency response up to 90 kHz.

Road-Ready Build: Rugged 1U rackmountable chassis designed for touring and installed sound systems.
