Each C.A.S.T. input can be assigned to channels 1&2 of the DB25 input or discrete input paths (3&4, 5&6, or 7&8)

C.A.S.T. In A corresponds to Channels 1/2 on DB25 Input & Output

C.A.S.T. In B corresponds to Channels 3/4 on DB25 Input & Output

C.A.S.T. In C corresponds to Channels 5/6 on DB25 Input & Output

C.A.S.T. In D corresponds to Channels 7/8 on DB25 Input & Output

C.A.S.T. Cable Requirements

Uses shielded Cat 5e, Cat 6, or Cat 7 cables instead of multiple XLRs

Maximum cable length of 100m (330ft) without high-end roll-off or crosstalk

Recommended Cat 7 for best performance

Minimum requirement of shielded Cat 5e or Cat 6 for distances ≤ 20m

Incorrect shielding may prevent 48V phantom power from passing through

48V Phantom Power Support

N8 does not generate 48V but passes it through from upstream equipment
