Trinnov has announced the AltitudeCI, a new Audio-over-IP (AoIP) processor designed specifically for the custom integration (CI) market. This processor combines flexibility, professional-grade calibration tools, and native support for both major AoIP protocols—AES67/Ravenna and Dante—without the need for external converters.
Key Features of the Trinnov AltitudeCI
Native AoIP Support
AltitudeCI works natively with both AES67/Ravenna and Dante, making it easier to integrate with a wide range of professional audio systems and networks.
Channel Options & Licensing
Choose from configurations ranging from 8 to 32 output channels, with a 64-channel model expected in 2026. Channels are licensed in 2-channel increments, allowing integrators to scale systems over time without replacing hardware.
Trinnov’s Signature Processing Suite
-
Optimizer 3D: Comprehensive room and speaker calibration (phase, EQ, time alignment).
-
WaveForming: Controls low-frequency behavior and reduces room mode issues.
-
Remapping: Improves spatial accuracy in immersive setups, even in rooms with non-ideal layouts.
Hardware & Connectivity Highlights
-
Compact 2RU chassis
-
8 analog outputs—ideal for subs or traditional speaker zones
-
HDMI I/O (4 inputs / 2 outputs) for use with video matrix systems
-
Three Ethernet ports, including two with SFP cages, offering flexibility for fiber connections, network redundancy, and traffic separation (audio, control, service)
Why AltitudeCI Matters for Your Projects
Easier Integration with Existing AoIP Systems
With built-in support for both Dante and AES67, AltitudeCI eliminates compatibility issues between protocols.
Scalable for Future Expansion
Start with what you need now—whether it's 8 or 16 channels—and add more later through remote licensing.
Superior Room Calibration
Trinnov’s DSP tools help deliver clear, immersive sound even in rooms with tough acoustics or space limitations.
Simplified System Design
With analog, HDMI, and robust network connectivity all built in, AltitudeCI reduces the need for extra hardware and conserves valuable rack space.
Considerations Before Buying
-
The 64-channel version is still in development, expected in 2026, so extremely large systems may need to wait or plan around the current limits.
-
Setup requires careful configuration and calibration—this isn’t a plug-and-play processor if you're aiming for peak performance.
-
Pricing increases with channel count and licensing, so budgeting should reflect the full scope of your project.
Availability & Compatibility
The AltitudeCI processor is scheduled to ship in Q4 2025. Trinnov is also releasing a Dante input board upgrade for its Amplitude16 amplifier, enabling full compatibility with AoIP systems alongside AltitudeCI.
