Trinnov’s Altitude CI Brings Flexible Audio‑over‑IP to Custom Install Projects

Trinnov Audio has revealed the Altitude CI, a compact Audio-over-IP processor designed specifically for the custom installation market. Built to suit a wide range of spaces—from advanced home cinemas to professional-grade private screening rooms—it delivers immersive, high-resolution audio performance with flexible integration options.

The Altitude CI stands out with its native support for both Dante and Ravenna/AES67, making it easy to pair with Dolby Atmos or DCI workflows without the need for format converters.

Designed to scale with project needs, it uses a channel-based licensing model that allows upgrades in 2-channel steps, beginning at 8 channels and expanding to 32. A 64-channel version is already in the pipeline for 2026. These upgrades are managed remotely via Trinnov’s online platform—streamlining system expansion and service.

This model also includes Trinnov’s trusted suite of acoustic technologies: Optimizer™ for detailed speaker and room calibration, WaveForming™ to refine low-end performance, and Remapping™ for accurate spatial rendering in non-ideal setups. All of this is powered by their robust 64-bit software processing engine.

Physically, the Altitude CI fits into a 2U rackmount chassis, with eight analog outputs, HDMI connections (4 inputs, 2 outputs), and three Ethernet ports—two of which include SFP cages for high-speed networking. The updated interface features a step-by-step calibration process, while still giving access to advanced settings for installers.

For those looking to go fully digital, Trinnov has also released a Dante input card for its Amplitude 16 amplifier. Paired with the Altitude CI, this creates a complete AoIP signal path in just 5RU—perfect for clean, high-performance installations.

The Altitude CI will make its debut at CEDIA Expo 2025 in Denver from September 4–6, with an Audio-over-IP training session available the day before. First shipments are expected in late 2025.
