SPL expands its Professional Fidelity Hi-Fi lineup with two new additions designed for analog audio enthusiasts: the Phonos duo RIAA phono preamplifier and the Crossover Mk2 analog crossover. Both models showcase SPL’s commitment to precision sound and flexible design.
Phonos duo: Dual-Mode RIAA Phono Preamplifier
The Phonos duo is a high-end RIAA phono preamp built for turntables equipped with either moving magnet (MM) or moving coil (MC) cartridges. Designed with versatility in mind, it features both balanced and unbalanced inputs and outputs, offering flexibility for a wide range of audio setups.
Users can fine-tune their sound with six adjustable capacitance settings for MM cartridges and selectable impedance options for MC cartridges, allowing optimal matching for virtually any phono system. This level of adaptability makes the Phonos duo one of the most flexible phono preamplifiers available.
At its core is SPL’s VOLTAiR technology, paired with a Douglas-Self-designed RIAA filter, delivering a refined, noise-free analog listening experience.
Importantly, the Phonos duo does not replace the existing SPL Phonos. Both models will remain part of SPL’s lineup, offering customers a choice depending on their specific needs.

Crossover Mk2: Analog Crossover, Refined
The Crossover Mk2 represents the next evolution of SPL’s analog crossover, designed to integrate bass speakers and subwoofers into a high-end analog system without digital conversion.
This second-generation model introduces expanded crossover frequency options and new features, making it the most advanced SPL analog crossover to date. It’s engineered for purists who want a seamless analog signal path with no digital processing involved.
Like its predecessor, the Crossover Mk2 uses SPL’s proprietary VOLTAiR technology, ensuring ultra-high headroom and transparent audio performance. This model will replace the original Crossover in the SPL portfolio.
World Premiere at High End Munich 2025
Both the Phonos duo and Crossover Mk2 will make their public debut at High End Munich on May 14, 2025. Attendees can experience them firsthand at Atrium 4.2, F211, where SPL will showcase live demos of the new gear.
