Manley Laboratories, a respected name in high-end analog tube audio gear, has been acquired by Dirk Ulrich, founder of Brainworx Audio and Plugin Alliance. Known for his work across Native Instruments and iZotope, Ulrich plans to preserve Manley’s sonic legacy while guiding the brand into its next phase of growth.
EveAnna Manley, who has been the public face and driving force behind the brand, is stepping down but will help ensure a smooth transition. The company’s production team and operations will remain intact, with no interruptions in product availability or customer support.
Manley gear, like the VOXBOX channel strip, Variable Mu Compressor, and Massive Passive EQ has long been a favourite among audio professionals. Ulrich, a longtime fan himself, intends to maintain Manley’s commitment to quality while exploring opportunities for new product development and continued software partnerships, including those with Universal Audio.
