Fantastic
This is a powerhouse of a unit - and unlike previous AVID offerings, the addition of DADman makes it a truly flexible piece of hardware that can be used in a variety of ways.
It's also improved the sound of my other Avid HDIO units in a noticeable way.
Read more Seems like the clock is a real upgrade over the ones in the HDIOs.
DADman is not exactly a pleasure to use, but once you get your head around the setup, how to save and load presets, etc, it actually allows for some really cool and flexible routing. I'm also using the dante connectivity to integrate this more usefully with MAC Os's audio in/outs.
DANTE software is even less enjoyable to use than DADman, but is incredibly stable and useful once you finish screaming obscenities at your screen for two days.

MTRX Studio
I recently purchased The Avid MTRX Studio to replace my aging Digidesign 192's (192 I/O and 192 Digital). I am very happy with the upgrade. The converters are fantastic on this new unit. I'm also amazed how much technology is packed into a single rackspace! The specs are impressive - Dante/ADAT/Analogue converters...
Read moreThe DADman software is a pleasure to use, once it's configured - the configuration definitely requires some patience and YouTube videos! Last but not least, the internal fan noise is undetectable - another huge plus.
