The 1073LBEQ module can be inserted between the input and output stages of the 1073LB module, creating a true 1073 classic audio path.

Great Sound hard install
It is a Neve EQ and sounds like it... and yes it does sound better than our UAD, Waves, Arturia Neve simulation plugins. I am really happy with this purchase and it already is getting a huge amount of use in our studio.
Why 4.5 instead of 5 stars? We also have the 1073LB (Mic Pre) and they provide a cable to combine these into a true 1073 using the EQ as an insert.
Read moreThe install of getting this in a 500 rack with the cable attached to the 2 units was difficult... then it didn't work! Repeat.. didn't work. Wrote Neve with pictures and they gave a solution...repeat install again and still didn't work.
Finally the solution was found on the gearsluts website ... several people had the same problem as I was having. They said the manual was wrong in how you set up the rear switches on the 1073 LB for combining the units... so I switched the switch to what gearsluts advised and ignored the manual and Neve support... and IT WORKED!
I don't know if there are accidently several units wired backwards or if the manual was printed wrong... either way it works now with switch 2 in the opposite position that the manual says.
I would recommend this to anyone because it sounds absolutely amazing... but be aware of the hard install and that you may have to not follow the manual if combining it with the 1073LB mic pre. (Note: If just buying the EQ it would install as easy as any 500 rack module... but then you are not really getting a real NEVE 1073 EQ sound ...you only get that when combining it and using the input/output transformers on the Mic Pre)
